As a fitness model and competitor I need to have a tanned complexion. To find a tanning method that won't harm my skin and looks natural is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I finally found the only self-tanner I will use that hydrates my skin and gives me the most sun-kissed golden brown skin.

I used to think the only way to get a golden, natural looking tan was to use the tanning bed. The harmful rays were taking their toll on my skin so I had to stop. I tried Mystic Tan, which was not natural looking and was uneven. Drugstore brands were even worse and smelled awful! I applied them daily and still didn't achieve a tanned look that I was happy with - I was throwing money out the window.

Someone suggested Famous Dave's Tanner. I thought I had nothing to lose so I ordered some. I was relieved that it was fragrance-free and that it applied evenly. That day I noticed a natural looking tan starting to develop. I even applied it to my face, which I couldn't do with other tanning lotions.

I am a disciple of Dave's Tanner now, I won't use anything else!

I just have to add my testimonial. I was highly recommended this product on the Cathe Friedrich forums, along with of a bunch of others, I made the purchase. I am a customer for life. I do tan in the spring here in Michigan but I want to get away from the tanning beds but nothing was working until I received yours yesterday and I applied it last night. Now I had stopped tanning so I could let my color fade. I even wore white to bed to test the rubbing off. I got up this morning and WOW! no color rubbed off and my color was better than coming out of the tanning salon. It is a natural glowing bronze color. I even applied it to my face with a makeup sponge and I have dry/sensitive skin. There was no breakouts, no scrathy feel or itching or heavy feel. It was just like I put my night moisturizer on.

I just wanted to rave on your self tanner!!!! It is fantastic! I have used all kinds of self tanner’s lotions, sprays, etc.- all brands from inexpensive to expensive - this is BY FAR the best!! Finally fantastic color without the work. I got so tired of self tanners with colors guides - great to help get them on but then what?? I had to get an extra set of sheets so as to not ruin my good sheets. I was so sick of it and felt hopeless to never find a great self tanner that did not have a color guide. Well I am so happy to be wrong - your tanner has the best color, goes on like a dream - NO SMELL!!! It is the simplest self tanner I have ever used. I wish I tried it years ago. Now self tanning is no longer a chore! I just bought a travel size one too so that I can bring it with me on vacation!! I will be a life long customer! Thanks Dave!

Hi! I found it hard to believe that a product that claimed to be so great wasn't available everywhere. If it's so fabulous, why not mass market to everyone, everywhere? Well, I am believer!! It took 3 applications to get the darker color I wanted, but when I did my god was I hot!! Absolutely the best self tanner I tried. Just like a lotion, so easy to apply, really has no smell out of the bottle AT ALL. Does get a very mild tanner smell as it develops, but much less noticable than any other brand. Very nice, natural and beautiful color. I will never try another tanner, ever again. Famous Dave, you are a fabulous man. Thank you

Hello Dave. I bought your self tanning lotion a few weeks back and just tried it last night on my arms just so I could see how the product worked me. It’s everything that you and your customers have been saying. I'm in my 40's and been a lover of the tanning booth since I started in my 20's. I realized this year that I needed to stop destroying my skin with the tanning beds I was noticing my skin was getting dyer and the signs of wrinkles were appearing. I saying to myself and stressing wondering what I was going to do to still get that tanned look without the sun or tanning booth. I’ve tried other self tanners is the past and never liked any of them. They all made you look orange and fake and the smell was worse than the results. I was worried I would get the same results with your production, but I was completely wrong and surprised. There is barely a smell at all, only when applying but gone afterwards and you don’t end up smelling yourself all day long like the other products. When I woke up in the morning I could see a natural light brown color and NOT ORANGE! I think I have found my new best friend. I’m looking forward to trying it on my legs. I will buy this product again and tell all my friends about it. Thank you for creating a great product.

I have used Dave's Tanner for about 3 years and I am very happy with it. No odor,streaking or bad coloring. I have a skin disorder(GA) and am very sensitive to some lotions bmorningut this has no adverse affect. It also helps hide some of the areas so I am comfortable without sleeves! Thanks so much!

I just want you to know that I LOVE this self tanner. I have used many others including the really expensive ones, and the thing I hate the most is the smell. Famous Dave's has a very low odor. I also love the natural tan look I get from his product. I am a very fair skinned blonde, and always hated the streaky, orange look on my skin, clothes and sheets. I can dress a few minutes after applying Famous Dave's, and not have it wear off on my clothes or furniture. I bought this product on eBay, and can't wait to order more. I even had my mom try it, and she is a fair skinned redhead with freckles..it looked very natural on her as well. Thanks for offering a product that does what it says it will do. I just wanted to tell you how much I LOVE your self tanners. I have had 3 pre-melanomas removed, so "sun" tanning is NOT an option. I am very fair and the color of your self tanning lotion is perfect. But the best features are: that it dries quick and is absolutely not sticky & has virtually no smell! Fabulous!!!

I have bought several of the moisture tan for my daughter and myself. When I bought her the first bottle of it and she had used it all, she called me and asked me to order her another one. She said that it gave her the most natural tan ever and that she had gotten quite a lot of compliments. She used to be a believer in tanning beds but no more, thank goodness. For myself, I do love the moisture tan but also bought a bottle of the spray tan. I put it in a small spray bottle of my own and now I alternate the two using one then the other every day or so. I love the even look that both of them give me but the spray tan gives me a darker look that looks very natural. Thanks for the great product.

Can't wait to try the tanner.  I am a devoted self tanner after a bout with pre-cancerous lesions at only 21.  Fair skinned, red headed, you know the story!  I've heard wonderful things about your product as well as your individual character.

 

Just wanted to say that I
have tried that many Fake tans (as i am a red head with painfully white skin!!) and i love it - I use it everyday mixed with a squirt of aloe vera gel to give a glow after a bath - a little goes such a long way - one squirt does my whole leg. The best bit is the lack of smell..I really recommend this product and am so happy I stumbled across it on the net. Thanks!!

This is my second order for this tanner, I loved it from the first time I tried it and now I don't want to be without it. My Son even thinks it is great and he has always made fun of me in the past for using "fake" tanners.
I have been banned from the sun for the last 9 years ever since I had a melanoma taken off of my leg and I love to have a tan so I have tried just about every sunless tanner out there including the very expensive mist on tan which also made me go a lovely glowing shade of orange. I am so glad that I discovered ebay last year and stumbled upon your product which I would recomend to anyone looking for a great natural looking tan. I look forward to being a lifetime customer. WOW!WOW!WOW!I have been using self tanners for over 17 years and have used EVERY brand on the market. Even brands from Europe and Asia that are not available here in the US. This is the BEST. I am Asian and every other product have looked more on the orange side due to my VERY yellow undertones. Yours did not. And definately the least smelling! Thank you so much for making this product.

Ok I have tried EVERYTHING. This stuff doesnt come off on clothes or sheets, doesnt smell, blends well and is not orange. You can use it on your face and body and the color is amazing. I am addicted! It is even better that Mystic Tan or anything like it.

I recommend the scrub and 2 bottles of tanner combo I have not tried the one called Moisture Tan but I have tried the original one called Famous Dave's.

Try it, it is so much better than laying in a tanning bed!!!

I've actually used Moisture Tan and it is awesome. I never had streaking and I always got compliments on the color. I use to use it 1to2 times a week during the summer and it is awesome to use on your face too. I actually need to order another bottle. Love it!

Just got my 2 - 8 ounce bottles of Moisture Tan and wanted to say I'm Impressed!!!  Initially the color was very light so I continued to apply it each day and I love the NATURAL Look!!!!!!  Admittedly, you do have to be more careful how you apply because there is no tint to it, but I Love the color!!!  I was using AU Courant which was costing me twice the money for a 6 oz. bottle and I did not like the way it faded, (however I liked their spray bottle application).  Anyhow, on a personal note, I graduated with a David Gould in 1982 in Fitchburg MA.  Any connection?????  Also, a homeshopping network that I frequently buy from is looking for new products this month to feature on their show.  Your tanning product would be awesome to offer.  The network is called QVC and you can visit them at QVC.com and ask about information to sell your product through them.  I will be ordering again and thank you.

 

I first bought your product one year ago.............it is the ONLY self tanner I can use on my legs that does not streak them!! I've tried them all, from cheap to very expensive and they all streak my legs, and some turn me green............yours does not do either of these.......I love it!

Just a quick note to tell you how much I like your product. Moisture Tan is everything you claim it is. 
I didn't turn orange, even with three successive applications. Properly applied as per instructions, it really doesn't come off on clothing or towels after a shower.  Finally, it has no odor on application, and a pleasant smell after it develops, unlike the other brands I have tried which leave me and my laundry smelling kinda funky, if you know what I mean!

Hello, just wanted to say thanks- I used 2 coats of the tanner before I left for vacation last week.  I looked super dark and even the whole time without reapplying.  And it is true that this lotion has the lowest odor of any I have tried- and it dries quickly which is nice.  Maybe most importantly- I have had major trouble with the way self tanners fade on my skin.  Usually I look spotty after a few days and end up having to scrub it all off and start over.  But so far the moisture tan seems to be fading naturally and thats a huge plus for me.  I will be ordering more!  Thanks again, Rosemary

Hello again!  I used your product for the first time last evening and am absolutely thrilled with the results!

My daughter and I are blond hair/blue eyed which equals VERY VERY PALE SKIN!  (We truly are professionals in self-tanning!) We never tan in the sun (who would want to with all the skin damage/wrinkles??!) and have tried virtually every product out there - including the MysticTan Booths and the {very expensive} salon spray-on services.  The smell of these products was bad enough but we never were 100% satisfied - a streak here, a dark patch there, uneven color - and the expense (the best we found is $34/bottle) so we are always searching for a better product.

SEARCH NO MORE - WE'VE FOUND IT!!!  I was skeptical but again, willing to try anything but this is truly the best!  My color is so even!  And so natural looking!  And my skin feels great!  There is no "missed area" or "streaked area" - THIS IS FANTASTIC!! 

Here's a helpful hint for everyone for feet and hands:  Do these areas last and mix a drop of moisturizing lotion with the Moisture Tan.  It dilutes it ever so slightly for these tough areas that tend to gather more color and looks great!

I just wanted to know I received the above item yesterday...couldn't wait to give it a 'test run', so I and a couple co-workers applied it to one hand.  Voila, 4 hours later we can see a very noticeable color difference, and NO ORANGE!

Because of this, I have several co-workers who are interested in purchasing, and I have sent your ebay info along to them.

In the sport of bodybuilding, a nice tan is essential. I think I had tried just about every brand out there, but I had problems with my skin breaking out and itching, particularly on my stomach - didn't look good and didn't feel good either.

I found Famous Dave's Tanner just searching the web one day and thought I'd give it a try. That was almost two years ago, and it has never given me any skin problems. The color is very realistic with no streaks, and it's an added benefit that it dries in 5 minutes. I have been very impressed with Dave because he knows his products and cares about his customers because if you ever have an issue or a question, he is prompt to respond and very helpful.

Hi! I ordered your tanning lotions, and I recieved them in the mail yesterday. Only two days! Not only am I stunned by the delivery, but this is honestly the best taning product I have EVER used. Growing up, I have always had a very pale complexion. My nickname was actually Snow White as a teenager... in fact, some departmet stores don't even carry a foundation product light enough for my skin. Tanning in the sun has only given me a burn every time. Tanning in the tanning beds would turn my skin red; the cleaner used to wipe down the beds after each use would make my skin, being so sensitive, break out into a rash. Not to mention tanning under the sun or in a taning bed is terrible for your skin. My two best friends recieved Botox injections yesterday. Their both 22. They've laid in tanning beds since their teenage years, and they look over 15 years older. Gorgeous and wealthy, yet they look 40!  My skin is always dry, and I've been the spray tan route. I've been to over 11 ! salons, and I've done the Magic Tan booth twice. Each time my skin would be left blotchy, uneven, and orange. And tanning lotions... I've tried it ALL. I've used all the department store products, and almost every drugstore product. I finally stopped counting after I threw away my 34th bottle and simply gave up. For the past few years I've completely thrown away the idea of having a great tan. In fact, I've never had one of those golden, sought-after tans that you see on all the models every summer. Never. As in, never in my entire life, never. So when I saw your site I was completely skeptical. Actually, I saw it last summer, but I never ordered it until the other day on a whim. I had feelings that it wouldn't work simply because nothing ever has. I used it last night... and it's fantastic! I ACTUALLY have a brilliant tan! I went on my morning run today, and two people asked if I had gone on vacation somewhere! I'm the girl who goes on vacation in South Beach, Miami for two! weeks and comes back the looking like I'd been under and umbrella! So when they said this I was thrilled! When I went to the market, a friend I haven't seen in years said I had a "brazillian glow." This is by far the BEST tanning product I have ever used. No smell. No dryness. No orange. No streaks. I have tried countless self tanners and have experienced countess disasters!
I ordered Moisture Tan and have to say that it is, indeed the most natural color of any self tanner I've used!  If you use gloves it's a virtually foolproof application too!  Nobody should ever expect a self tanner to have no smell at all...I could detect the usual frito-like smell after a couple of hours but I have to say that it was so much less noticeable than anything else I've ever used.

What can I say? Thank you just doesn't cover it!! I have spent 15+ years trying to tan and nothing. I have tried well over $200 worth of sunless tanners, hours and HOURS in tanning beds and mist tanner applications up the wazoo, with no results. I haven't worn shorts or sleeveless shirts in over 10 years (regardless of the heat) because I've been so self conscious of how pale I was. Tan skin gives the look of health and slimness. I also want to say-I have psoriasis on my elbows and knees. I have been battling it for over 10 years now. I bought your scrub and IT'S ALMOST GONE!!! I CAN WEAR SHORTS AGAIN! I CAN WEAR SLEEVELESS SHIRTS AGAIN! Your sunless tanner is not just a product, it's not just a beautifier. it was my lifesaver. I feel confident again. I just have to say that this is the best self tanning lotion I have ever
used, I cannot stand the smell of tanning lotions and have tried alot of
different ones to try and find one I like, I also work for a chemist and get
the opportunity to tryl the new ones before they come out, but since buying
Moisture Tan I don't even bother trying any others, there is no horrible
smell, it is so easy to use, and it develops into the most natural brown
colour, in fact its just the same colour as I go in the sun, since I started
using Moisture Tan everyone has commented on my lovely colour, and those who
haven't seen me in a while think I have been on holidays!! You must try
this, once you try it you will NEVER use anything else, thankyou Dave for
this wonderful product.

After years of tanning beds and sun abuse to my skin I have finally found a sunless tanner that does what it says! Wow, and that's an understatement!  I read the testimonials online and thought "this many people can't be wrong". Boy was I right!  I still look at myself in the mirror and can't believe the beautiful tan I have from your product.  No odor, no streaks, beautiful brown healthy tan.  Since the doctor's found skin cancer on my face, laying out in the sun was out of the question this summer. I was horrified at the thought of being pale all summer.  I had decided pants in 90 degree weather was going to be unbearable, but rather than show my ghostly white legs it was the only choice.  Not anymore!!  Now I have a gorgeous tan, better than any I ever got from hours in the sun.  THANKS for making my "lifestyle adjustment" a walk in the park.  I do have 1 question....can I use a moisturizer on days I'm not using the product?  I didn't see where this was addressed on the web-site.  THANKS AGAIN FOR A WONDERFUL PRODUCT.

 

hi, I ordered your product on ebay after reading all of the great reviews. I am a readhead with fair skin, and i've always been after a golden tan.I ordered your product on thurs.and it was here by sat.I used it last night,and I woke up with an amazing tan!!!!!! Ilove this!!It is without a doubt the best sunless tanner on the market.Plus it didn't smell at all!!!

 

Tried your tanning product 2 years ago and loved it!! Spent all summer trying to find something to comparable...I give up!! Please send immediately!!

 

Thank you Dave for your product. I have a commerical sprayer and I've used other products on me and my friends. The other products or nothing compared to your tanning spray.  I love it!!!!  It doesn't make you stink it doesn't rub off on to your clothing.  The biggest thing is my other product was that I would spray at night wear a longsleeve shirt and jogging pants to bed to keep it off my sheets.  Never did I spray durning the day cause you would be sticky and stinky.  With your product I can put on at night and not wear the arma suit to bed or I could put on first thing in the morning and go all day no one ever said I stunk (better not are I would probably beat them up).  Anyway, thank you for the spray tan product and the scrub is great to.  Could you just make the scub into a gallon to I would like to have a gallon of that.

hi, me again, the one impressed with your speed at returning emails.  look, i am SO impressed with this stuff, i already ordered more from ebay, i got the famous daves and moisture tan combo, so my best friend can have the dave's, which i already have, and i can try the other.  seriously, i have used neutrogima, (i'm almost sure i spelled that wrong) with the bronzer for AWHILE, its pretty good, but its mostly bronzer i think.  this stuff is really remarkable.  i wanted to ask if you prefer orders through ebay or your site, as i intend to tell EVERYONE about this stuff.  don't know which is more cost effective for you, and i want to know which place to tell people to buy from.  thanks so much for your product, and customer service, and you can look forward to LOTS of repeat buisness from me.

I bought your product on Ebay and I wanted you to know that it is awesome! I have tried many self tanners and even after one application, my skin is a believable shade!  There is no odor while putting it on, nor is there an odor later on (as with most self tanners).  All of your claims are true-- thanks for a great product...! Just received your Moisture Tan tanning creme after winning it on eBay. I left positive feedback, of course, because you are a great seller and on my favorites list. My wife loves your tanners! We have used both the Famous Dave's and Moisture Tan products. However, she has noticed that the Famous Dave's brand leaves an unusual odor on the skin, which can last up to a few days; it's faint, but present. It's not foul, but it's not exactly pleasant, either. She did not experience this with the Moisture Tan creme, so we decided to go with that brand on this go-round.
We just thought you'd want to know about this issue. Have you had any other customers who have experienced this odor problem?

I just want to be on record for stating your tanning product is awesome! I've tried tons but this one is not only an unbelievable price but works so well. I'm fair skinned and I have a nice amount of color in one application. The best part, it looks like a real tan. Also, I've tried every face tanner imaginable and my face broke out every single time. I took a gamble and put Famous Dave on my face and no acne at all! So great for face too! Thanks, I'm very happy. I think you have a goldmine. BR

I use to work for a tanning salon, and after we went out of business, I became a slave to self tanners. Our beds were High Pressure UVA beds and gave such a great deep brown tan, no other beds did it for me. So, I have used many tanners, but. Yours is the BEST. Thankyou. Kevin in Dallas

  
   

Wow wow wow wow and WOW! I am so disappointed I left feedback before I tried this item! This is the BEST. It truly works.. I am so satisfied. I can't get tan, I never have been able to so I'm always spending all this money buying Spray-on tan at the salon which is ALWAYS blotchy and ORANGE! I've paid well over $110 on commercial-advertised self tanning products and always have the same results.. orange blotchy skin! This truly truly works.. thank you soo incredibly much for these items.. you can count on me to buy so many more in the future.

This is some amazing stuff for the price. The tan looks so reliatic!! Its almost a perfect tan after the second application, this is the absolute best tanner I have ever tried. No bad odor, not sticky and a brown look..I am truly amazed how white the liquid could turn out a golden tan like it did..I will use only your product ! I had doubt but truly surprised !! I received your product yesterday(which was Monday and I ordered it Friday which was lightening fast).  The reason I'm writing this is to let you and potential customers(that are looking for a "better self-tanner")know that I have used it yesterday and again today and I'm BROWN, not orange!!! I was currently using a FLASH Bronzer from a leading department store that cost me around $25-$30 and it would tan me but would leave more of an orange glow than a brown glow and leave my shirts with a "orange ring around the collar".  Your product after using it for 2 straight days, I am dark brown:<)Your product went right over the orange I had on and made me brown. I've tried them all(over 20 different ones from the most expensive on down)and this is by far the Best. Thanks for a Great Product, I will be ordering more ASAP. Please feel free to let others read this and hopefully they will stop wasting their money on ORANGE tanners and buy your "BROWN" tanner.
